I picked up a bracket and clamp from Really Right Stuff, you can tell someone actually thought about the person using it. Everything is easy to grab, even with gloves on, and the edges are smooth enough that they don’t chew up your hands like some cheaper gear I’ve tried.
It also makes my camera feel more balanced on the tripod, which makes shooting a lot less frustrating. The knob placement and overall fit might seem like small things, but they really add up. It’s not the cheapest option, but I’d rather pay for something thoughtfully made and built to last than keep buying stuff that feels disposable

I ordered a couple of parts and, for the most part, everything showed up as expected. One small item wasn’t the one I had picked, so that was a little annoying, but not the end of the world. I reached out to support and they helped get it sorted, which I appreciated. It just slowed things down a bit more than I’d hoped. Packaging was totally fine, though. Overall, okay experience, I just wish the order had been right the first time...

I really wanted to like this because it felt solid at first, but i’m annoyed. After just a few months, one of the clamps started getting loose, and it scratched up way too easily. It still works, sure, but for what they charge, this shouldn’t be happening. Feels like they cut corners and expect customers to just deal with it.

This stuff has never let me down on trips, which is great. It just costs more than I’d like, the annoying little bastard.

I ordered a small part from reallyrightstuff.com and, thankfully, the packaging was solid. The box was sturdy, not some oversized thing stuffed with nonsense, and there was enough padding inside that the part wasn’t rattling around everywhere.

I’m giving it 4 stars because one corner of the outside box had a small dent, which annoyed me a bit, but the actual product was fine. So no major complaints, I just wish it had looked a little cleaner when it showed up.
